Terms of Use

Purpose of the app

Tāl Chakra is an educational and practice tool for North Indian classical rhythmic cycles (tāl). It is intended for students, teachers, performers, and enthusiasts of Hindustani classical music, Kathak dance, and related traditions. The app is not a substitute for a qualified guru.

Accuracy and no warranty

Tāl definitions, bol patterns, glossary entries, and performance structures have been assembled with care from established Hindustani music sources. However, regional and gharānā variations exist for almost every tāl. The content reflects one representative version, not a definitive standard.

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Use of the app is at your own risk.

Purchases and distribution

Tāl Chakra is distributed through Apple's App Store. Any purchases and refunds are handled by Apple according to their App Store terms.
